Yoga for Healthy Aging: 12th International Day of Yoga Celebrated at BSSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS), in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education, Department of Education, and NCC, organized the 12th International Day of Yoga. This year's theme was 'Yoga for Healthy Aging'.

In the program, subject expert and yoga trainer Ms. Ritika Motwani, while highlighting the importance of yoga, stated that regular yoga practice plays a significant role in keeping a person physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy. On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Dr. Father John P.J., in his address, inspired the students to make yoga an integral part of their daily lives. He said that yoga is not just exercise, but an effective method of living a healthy and balanced life. Following this, a yoga session was conducted by Ms. Ritika Motwani, in which students, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, and faculty members participated enthusiastically. Participants were made to practice various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques, and were informed about their health benefits. The program inspired all participants to adopt yoga into their regular daily routine. A total of 30 volunteers participated in this program.
